Saturday, April 14, 2012 was the wedding day of Ioan Ifrim and Marciela DeGrace. Ioan and Marciela exchanged vows at
The Pittsburgh Golf Club in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in a 5:30 ceremony which was officiated by my friend, Chaplain Mark DeNuzzio of A Simple Vow.
Their wedding reception immediately followed, with their guests enjoying cocktails, hors d’oeuvre’s and good conversation while Ioan and Marciela, along with their bridal party and families gathered for photos taken by the very talented Randi Voss. I also had the pleasure of meeting and working with videographer Megan Bowers, who owns a very cool video company she calls Pictory Productions. Megan is super artistic and creative, providing her clients with an awesome memory of their special day!
Formal introductions kicked off at 6:45, with grandparents, parents and the bridal party being introduced to “Good Life”, by One Republic. Then, to much cheering and clapping, Ioan and Marciela made their grand entrance, entering to their chosen song, “Say Hey, I Love You”, by Michael Franti and Spearhead.
Immediately following their introduction, the bride and groom shared their first dance together as husband and wife, dancing to their chosen song, ”The Way I Am”, by Ingrid Michaelson. They then cut their wedding cake, accompanied by “Do You Remember”, by Jack Johnson.
After dinner, which was prepared by the wonderful staff at The Pittsburgh Golf Club, Marciela shared a special dance with her stepfather, John, accompanied by ”In My Life”, by The Beatles. Ioan then shared a special moment with his mom, dancing to “Arms Of A Woman”, by Amos Lee.
It was an absolutely perfect evening, concluding with all of Ioan and Marciela’s friends and family sharing the last dance of the night, accompanied by their chosen song, ”You Are The Best Thing”, by Ray LaMontagne.
Marciela and Ioan will enjoy their honeymoon in beautiful, exotic Tanzania!
